Triangle Financial Services Leader Named President of GAMA International

Raleigh, N.C. (October 16, 2008) – Michael Condrey, CLU, ChFC, CFP® and managing partner of the Carolina Condrey Group, the eastern N.C. regional office of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, has been named as the 2008-2009 president of GAMA International, a professional association dedicated to supporting the development of more than 5,500 field leaders in the insurance and financial services industries.

“GAMA is in a very fortunate position to have Mike serve as our next president,” said Edward Deutschlander, CLU, CLF, managing partner at North Star Resource Group in Minneapolis, Minn., and 2007-2008 GAMA president. “His experience, leadership, passion and wisdom put us in a great position to reach the 10,000-member number, which is so important for us to truly impact our society.”

Since the 1990s, Condrey has helped GAMA evolve from a local, chapter-based organization into a national association. He assumes the role of president as GAMA has renewed and restated its commitment to its core purpose: “Building the Leaders Who Build the Financial Services Industry.”

Condrey, in his 15th year as a managing partner with the Network, is a well established leader in Triangle financial services industry. He has earned numerous industry awards including lifetime membership in the Million Dollar Round Table for life insurance sales and is also active in the community with leadership roles in Oak Ranch, a non-profit organization for disadvantaged youths, Ravenscroft School, The United Way, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and as an elder in his church.

Over the next year as GAMA president, Condrey plans to focus his efforts on expanding the implementation key association initiatives and focus efforts on creating more avenues for member and company outreach.
